Description

The curriculum constitutes the main guide for a teacher to carry out the objectives established in the field of education. In the curriculum, what is intended to be achieved is detailed and the way in which the teaching and learning process must be carried out. Currently, the need to know the beliefs of English teachers about the National Foreign Language Curriculum (English) of Ecuador arises, due to the lack of scientific research on this subject. This research will adopt a descriptive qualitative design through two instruments that will be used for data collection. Surveys will be designed and applied for 60 teachers and interviews in depth to 20 English teachers of public educational units of Zonal Coordination 6 (Azuay) of the Ministry of Education. For the analysis of this information, the ATLAS TI program and the technique of thematic analysis will be used. The results will highlight the need or not to raise proposals for innovative methodologies that improve the reception and production of students' skills, time charge proposals that support the gradual development of English at its different levels; And, appropriate means of dissemination and dissemination that allow the information to be clear for all who are part of the educational community.
