Description
The project called "Interculturality as a public policy at the Ecuadorian University: speeches and practices at the Universities of Cuenca, National Chimborazo and State of Bolívar" is born of a dialogue and a sustained debate between researchers from the participating universities, which can be mentioned is permanently feedback by the voices, experiences and demands of socio -educational actors in the territories where the institutions are based on the institutions where the institutions are based. The project proposes to analyze the implementation of public policy in three Ecuadorian universities, concentrating the study in the faculties and careers of education, based on the voices of authorities that exercise rectors, vice -rectories, academic addresses and decanates; And of a teaching and student population, which is part of the key socio -educational fabric to know the panorama and the current state of intercultural education at a higher level. The methodology used is mixed (qualitative and quantitative). On the one hand, the ethnographic method is used with the design of tools such as the semi -structured and focal groups to obtain relevant first -hand information; And on the other, a survey applied to the teaching and student plant is designed, and a documentary review is made for the processing of detailed data obtained from the regulatory framework of education, as well as of the policies, plans, and university projects with an intercultural approach, and of the designs of careers, programs, projects and research results.
