Description

Within the general topic on the construction of national identities in the Latin American world during the nineteenth century, this project is part of the management of cultural imaginary by addressing - through Ecuadorian painting, that is, the image - aspects on the diverse and sometimes contradictory configuration of these new nations. It is, then, a timely iconological study of the world of construction of visual narratives in nineteenth-century Ecuador (1845-1920) inherent in the constitution of national identities, this particular case has to do with the recovery and assess Points of reflection and projection of Ecuadorian nationality.
