Integration, storage and exploitation of meteorological hydro data using Big Data and Semantics Web

This project will create methods, techniques and tools to allow the integration of hydro-meteorological data by merging the technologies of Bigdata and Web Semantics, based on the advances made in the last decade in this area. The project will make advances in research, providing methods, techniques and tools to: i) the creation of a common and shared data repository that may be used to perform experimentation on the aforementioned data; Ii) efficient mechanisms for search and consultation of hydro-meteological information based on ontologies; Iii) the publication of integrated data according to the principles of Linked data and quality. All these individual advances will be integrated into a single data integration model that allows access and integration of hydro-metereological data sources and that will be demonstrated through a platform that integrates all these services. The platform will be based on Bigdata technologies, which will provide accessibility, robustness and ubiquity in access to resources and the execution of services.
