Description
The Covid-19 Pandemia is a great threat to the health and well-being of people around the world. The impacts of the pandemic have been devastating cities due to the inherently urban character of the disease, causing a setback in all human activities, including economic and environmental, which has frustrated the purposes of achieving the goals raised by the objectives of sustainable development. To face this problem, a-Habitat has silvering the need to develop evidence-based knowledge for a new Post-Covid sustainable urban agenda, which propose innovative and appropriate solutions to guarantee a better future. Therefore, this research proposes a methodology to establish a set of sustainable indicators that contribute to overcome the urban impacts generated by the Covid -19 pandemic and guide the sustainable urban development of the city of Cuenca - Ecuador. The research is going through three stages, in the first, given the characteristics of the research theme, urban sustainable indicators that have been proposed internationally are analyzed and, through the Delphi method, goals are established for the sustainable development of the city. In the second stage, a set of indicators is selected through the urban evaluation with data from the lifting of a baseline. Finally, the use of the hierarchical analysis process (AHP) method for the prioritization of indicators, considering the problems of sustainability and impacts of the pandemic.
