Project Details
Description
Worldwide the prevalence of overweight and obesity constitutes a public health problem and is one of the factors that contribute to the development of chronic noncommunicable diseases (ECNT). In Ecuador, 64.68% of adults have excess weight. Entre Las Causas Se Encuentra El Cambio De Dietas Tradicionales Saludables Hacia El Consumo De Productos Procesados Y Ultraprocesados Ricos En Grasa, Sodio Y Azúcares. The objective of this project is to implement and evaluate a knowledge graph, which through a mobile application facilitates the recognition and understanding of the nutritional information of processed and ultra -process products to guide the consumption of healthy foods to Ecuadorian young adults. The project will be developed in three stages. In the first stage a database on the nutritional content of processed and ultra -process products will be created following standardized methodologies. In the second stage a graph of knowledge that meets nutritional information of processed products and health promotion promotion criteria generated by experts will be generated, for which a mobile application will be designed and implemented that facilitates the recognition of these products and generates personalized messages of healthy eating following food guides based on food (gabas) of Ecuador. In the final stage, the knowledge and practice of the use of nutritional application in young adults will be evaluated to: i) Identify the contributions of fat, salt, sugar and kilocalories and the presence of sweeteners in processed and ultraprocessed products and ii) apply the healthy recommendations of the gabs in their daily intake.
