Impact of transformational leadership training on leaders' behavior: a quasi -experimental study in Ecuador.

Project: Research

Project Details

Description

This project seeks to identify the influence that transformational leadership has on the behavior of leaders in a training space, considering the innovation and success of practicing a transformational leadership unlike other leadership style, and also taking into account that most studies and research on these issues have been carried out in regions out of Latin America and the Caribbean. In this sense, the main objective of this investigation is to evaluate the impact of transformational leadership style training on the behavior of the participants. To achieve this objective, the proposal will support the training program promoted by the Andean Development Corporation (CAF) in Ecuador, called: "Training program in socio-organizational strengthening for transformational leadership with the generation of knowledge and analysis of proposals that boost territorial development in Ecuador". To evaluate the different variables, the multifactorial leadership questionnaire (MLQ) will be used widely validated and used. The analysis technique will be multivariate, multiple and longitudinal regression. As a result, the generation of a solid conceptual framework that guides the investigation is proposed, as well as a deep analysis of the interdependence between the variables that determine the transformational leadership styles, as well as the changes of dependence induced by the training process over time, which serves to establish effective transformational leaderships in the training and that affects the behavior of the leaders involved and in their organizations.
