Description
Objective Evaluate the impact of an educational intervention on healthy eating, with an active community participation, students and teachers of the Faculty of Medical Sciences. Methodology In the study, older adult clubs (AM) belonging to top -level units will participate, a group will constitute the experimental group and another of similar characteristics, control. After the application of the knowledge and practices test on healthy eating to both groups, the educational intervention will be carried out only in the experimental group; 6 months later a new assessment of knowledge and practices will be made, in both groups. Information collection will carry out previously trained students, from primary and secondary sources, using validated forms. The impact of the intervention will be evaluated through the relative risk (RR) and its 95%confidence interval (IC), which will allow a comparison of satisfactory responses of knowledge and practices, between the experimental group and the control group. Expected results older adults with healthy eating appropriate to your health. At least two scientific publications in indexed magazines. Community Organizations of Strengthened Older Adults. Validated healthy eating intervention program. Students, teachers and health teams prepared for new research.
