Project Details
Description
This project seeks to establish the existing connections between the processes of governance and collaboration multipartes, a scenario that arises as an alternative against fragmentation problems in government management, the incipient citizen participation and the lack of integration of the interests, initiatives and visions of the different local actors to give rise to integrative and efficient public policies. Along these lines, the main objective of this research is to contribute to a deep understanding of interdisciplinary links between multiparts collaboration and governance at the local level to increase the capacities and experiences of good governance. To achieve this objective, the study of cases will be used as a methodological framework that allows us to analyze reality in a holistic way while giving us the pattern to build theories from the empirical data of the cases; Specifically we will use the design of "Multiple Cases embedded", then, we will have as a study cases three municipalities in the province of Azuay and within these we will analyze two experiences of collaboration and/or local governance that will be our "sub units". The analysis of the cases will be individual and crossed, which will strengthen the levels of validity and reliability of this research. As results, the generation of a solid theoretical framework that guides the investigation is proposed, as well as a contextualization and deep analysis of the processes and experiences of each locality to later give way to the generation of a theoretical-methodological proposal built together with the actors involved, which serves as a reference to improve local governance and good governance practices.
