Description
In Ecuador, despite the existence of public policies that seek to prevent and reduce child sexual abuse (AS), figures in this regard are still alarming. Moreover, there is not enough scientific, current and contextualized information, which allows us to understand this depth phenomenon and identify effective prevention and approach elements. For its part, LOEI seeks the protection of students in cases of violence, abuse, sexual exploitation and any type of abuse. In this sense, the National Educational System - and teachers specifically - constitute key elements for the processes of prevention, detection and approach of the LIO. The present study seeks to explore the participation of the educators of the Ecuadorian national education system in the prevention, detection and approach of child sexual abuse. A mixed methodology will be used, with an explanatory sequential design that begins with a quantitative stage in which data will be collected through a survey applied to teachers; And he continues with a qualitative stage in which, through an interview applied to teachers and psychologists, he will deepen the understanding of the findings of the quantitative phase. The study will generate contextualized scientific knowledge for the instances responsible for the eradication of LIO. The results will be published in scientific journals and feedback to institutions will be offered.
