Description
Uterine health limited by subclinical endometritis (ES) is one of the most important factors that affects the fertility of dairy herds. The objective of this project is to evaluate two management strategies in the early postpartum, under the hypothesis that they are able to contribute to a decrease in the ES and thus improve the fertility of these high -risk cows. One of the strategies is based on the systemic effect of the aggregate on the clinophylolite diet activated from 30 days before delivery due to its immunomodulatory effect that could help control or prevent the ES. The second strategy is to act directly on the uterus between 35 to 40 days postpartum through the use of ozone therapy known for its ability to inactivate pollutants and activate the immune system that could help the treatment of it. This will be used 120 Holstein Friesian cows, multiparous, with a body condition between 2.5 to 3, with the same food and handling conditions. In all cows Cytobrush will be performed to evaluate the % mononuclear polymorphic cells ( % PMN) between 35 and 42 days postpartum. They will be divided into 3 groups: First group will correspond to the addition in the basal clinophylolite diet from 30 days pre-participate to 60 days post delivery in a dose between 200 and 300 g/cow/day depending on the weight and consumption of MS; The second group will correspond to the intrauterine application of a local sterile ozonified solution (SBO) in a dose of 50 g/ml at 24 hours of Cytobrush, and at the later 72 hours of the treatment a second cytobrush will be performed; The third group will not receive any treatment. % PMN will be evaluated, ovarian activity by ultrasonography from day 21 to day 60 once a week, childbirth interval first zeal and open days. A linear model with a fixed effect will be used to evaluate the average of the treatments, herds and time of the year. The results will be studied by variance analysis in the SPSS 22.0 statistical program. In case of significance (p
