Description

The global prevalence of neurodevelopmental disorders has increased worldwide especially autism spectrum disorder. In Ecuador, the lack of validation of diagnostic tests has consequences both in the difficulty of achieving an accurate diagnosis and early attention to the needs of people with autism. A repertoire of repetitive and restricted behaviors is an essential characteristic of this condition, and other mental alterations. The scale called Repetitive Behaviour Questionnarie (RBQ) has proven to be a solid test for the detection of intellectual autism and disability. Children with autism, with intellectual disability and without diagnosis. For this, a non -probabilistic sampling will be carried out for convenience, reaching a minimum total of 440 parents and teachers of children with mental age between 4 and 17 years (110 with TEA, 110 with intellectual disability and 220 control) that meet the inclusion criteria within the Metropolitan District of Quito and the city of Cuenca. The analysis methodology is based on identifying the validity of content through an interjueces analysis, the Cronbach Alfa Index and the confirmatory factor analysis will be used to obtain the reliability and validity of the test construct, multiple linear regression analysis will be performed to obtain the RBQ's scales in the clinical population. And finally, variance analysis will be carried out for each factor and the total score in each population group to identify identity characteristics by group. From the results, the evaluation process can be improved in children with autism and children with intellectual disabilities, and the effectiveness of the intervention, and thereby improve the quality of clinical practice. In addition, to know better the characteristics of autism and intellectual disability in Ecuador and help the understanding of the people who present it.
