Description
The prevalence of SARS-COV-2 infection in the Cuenca canton is unknown, it has been observed that at least 80% of those who have infected do not present symptomatology and knowing it is essential for the management and control of the pandemic, thus avoiding new infections, so this research aims to establish the prevalence of SARS-COV-2 infection and its relationship with the socio-economic conditions, demographic 19, behaviors in the face of current regulations and mobility of the Cuenca canton. An analytical transversal study will be carried out. Through statistical sampling with representation of urban and rural parishes, 2436 households in the canton will be selected. After giving their informed consent, a survey will be applied to learn about sociodemographic, economic, behaviors against current regulations and mobility. A quick test will be performed to a household member to determine the presence of specific antibodies for the SARS-COV2 virus, in case the result is reactive, a sample sample will be carried out for confirmatory test with PCR. The processing will be carried out by the "R" statistical program of free access, to apply descriptive statistics. As a result, there will be: 1) A report of prevalence of infection by SARS-COV-2 in the Canton Cuenca 2) An article on the associations of the prevalence of the infection with socio-economic, demographic variables, mobility, knowledge and practices on the COVID-19, 3) a proposal for the surveillance plan of the pandemic situation for basin.
