Description

General objective. Evaluate the results of the modified active management of the delivery compared to the active management, measuring the duration of the delivery, the loss of blood and the postpartum bleeding in the mothers attended at the Vicente Corral Moscoso hospital. Specific objectives. Specific objectives. Comparatively know the duration and loss of blood in modified active birth and active birth. Know the frequency of partial or total placental retention in modified active birth versus active birth. Clinically determine the amount of blood loss during the first hour possession in the two types of delivery care. Methodology. An experimental, randomized clinical (ICA) study (ICA) will be carried out, comparative between modified active birth (innovation: placental detachment verification procedure by vaginal touch) and the attention of active birth, at the Vicente Corral Moscoso hospital in the city of Cuenca. Results. Decrease in the amount of bleeding and duration of the delivery, lower partial or total retention of the placenta and lower possessment hemorrhage with the modified active birth. If the hypothesis is met, there is the possibility of an additional or complementary result, that the Ministry of Health of Ecuador and Conasa approve the project and implement the protocol as a national norm, in all services of the National Ecuadorian Health System and, in addition, it is presented as a national proposal to the obstetric centers of the Andean Network formed by Ecuador, Bolivia and Peru, of which we are part. The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Cuenca will include, modified active management, in the curriculum.
