Project: Research

Project Details

Description

The objective of this project is to study the issues of the political agenda and campaign strategies deployed during the 2017 electoral contest. For this, it is proposed to carry out a content analysis with a quantitative approach with all the campaign material and the electoral information published in the main media (press, radio and television) local and national. The results of this investigation will constitute an empirical contribution from political marketing to the study of political agenda, electoral campaign and political strategy in Ecuador and Latin America. The project will lay a baseline for the future study of electoral campaigns and their relationship with the behavior of voters. The intention is to replicate the study in the 2009 local elections and thus strengthen a research group dedicated to comparative analysis of electoral issues.
