Project Details
Description
This project proposes to develop a methodology for study of smart micro-redences from a multisalla approach. A Bottom-Up strategy (from bottom to top) will be combined with a Top-Down strategy (from top to bottom). The two treated scales will be: a) a house with type demand and own supply, through alternative energy generators and, b) the scale of the distribution network. The proposed methodology also includes a combination between numerical simulations and laboratory results. This is possible due to existing conditions and tools previously developed by the research group. There is to start a set of mathematical models and algorithms developed in the optimal demand control project and the generation of an electric micro-reduce through a network control system, one of the winners of the XI DIUC research project contest of the year 2012. It will also be counted since the beginning of 2016 at the University of Cuenca, with the Micro-Red Electrico Laboratory, part of the Balza Technological Scientific Center: Equipment for the Energy Center. This project of the University of Cuenca, which consists of six laboratories, competed nationwide and received the non-reimbursable contribution of the Ecuador-Spain debt exchange program for an amount of 2.75 million dollars. In the Bottom-UP phase, it will be departed from the dynamic supply and demand model previously developed by the research group, which will be calibrated in the laboratory. The results of this calibration will be fed to the cooperative energy exchange algorithms between micro-redes, within an electrical distribution system. The simulations made will constitute the beginning of the Top-Down phase, as the results obtained will be used as inputs for the problem on the smallest scale in the form of new conditions. The resulting methodology will be analyzed from the optics of its usefulness to design public policies.
