Cultural tourism and museums in the context of the patrimonial city of Cuenca

This project links Cuenca as a patrimonial city, cultural tourism as a population segment and the museums of the Historic Center as a space for analysis. The project aspires to know the relational situation between the museums of the city of Cuenca and the foreign tourists who visit them. The project is quantitative and qualitative. It is quantitative because through socio-demographic indicators obtained from the visit books and structured surveys for this purpose, it intends to know the profile of the foreign tourist that occupies these cultural services. The qualitative character focuses on the motivation of visit, opinion on the museal offer and improvements recommendations, information that will be obtained from opinion books. The knowledge that the project will generate will become a tool for public and private actors for decision -making, development of tourism and cultural development plans and projects.
