Description
The "Good Living" project through integrated health care: the optimization of intercultural collaboration in the rural areas of Ecuador, is a collaborative, multicenter effort, financed by the Vlir use of Belgium in which the University of Antwerp in Belgium (UA), the Private Technical University of Loja (UTPL) and the University of Cuenca (UC) participate. The main objective of this research is to improve access to obstetric services in the rural communities of Zones 6 and 7 of Health of Ecuador. The research will focus on the intercultural collaboration between the personnel who have university education (nurses, rural and internal doctors of Medicine and Nursing (students) and the healers and midwives (midwives) that are located in the community health centers and in the community. The study will begin identifying the needs and conditions that compromise intercultural health care, in order to provide specific measures of effective application of effective application of the intercultural integration In the medical and nursing curriculum at the UTPL, UC and other universities, in collaboration with the University of Antwerp.
