Worldwide, the number of non -native English teachers exceeds that of native speakers significantly, so it is imperative to determine the level of sufficiency in the language that a non -native teacher requires to effectively teach, especially when, apparently, in teachers preparation programs there is no due importance to the mastery of the language (Richards, 2011). The purpose of this research is to analyze how the level of English language management of teachers from private schools in the city influences their pedagogical practices, especially in relation to class management, language used in class, level of confidence and safety in their teaching and feedback practice, and in turn how these two variables influence the performance of the students. For this purpose, a survey of self -assessment of English language and an exam will be used to determine the level of teachers sufficiency. Pedagogical practices will be analyzed through a survey of teachers and students, class observations and interviews with teachers and students. The data obtained will be analyzed using SPSS 22 and ATLAS TI V.6 programs. It is expected to obtain supplies that help to understand the reality of students and teachers of private schools in the field of English teaching.
