Description
This project has two components that emerge from the project ended in July 2013, "the learning of English as a foreign language by adults", carried out by our work team. From this study, two research themes emerged: an essential in relation to the validation of the PEP program (Distancy English Language Program), the main product of said project, and another in relation to the learning of English by older adults. The first theme analyzes the impact of the aforementioned program in the context of linguistic and communicative competences in adults, while the second tries to determine the results that English learning could have regarding cognitive maintenance and memory in older adults. The final results will be consolidated in a comparative study between the learning of English by adults of the University of Cuenca and for the elderly of the IESS. In that instance, the methodology of the PE course and its possible application with older adults will be analyzed in relation to the maintenance of their cognitive levels.
