A previous study on Irlen syndrome in Cuenca, determined the existence of a prevalence of 25.84% severe cases, and identified the main perceptual visual distortions and physical discomfort when reading. This Quasi-Experimental study proposes to determine the effects of the use of color acetates in the fluidity and reading comprehension, in schoolchildren that suffer from Irlen syndrome (SI) mild, moderate and severe levels, of the two hundred children of the third and fourth degrees of the "Manuela Cañizares" and "San Roque" educational unit. Ophthalmological evaluations, color vision, assessments of global neuropsychological development, IRlen tests, three reading tests for the control of fluidity and reading comprehension and the application of color acetates will be the methodology used in this study. After data analysis, through absolute and percentage frequency tables, the prevalence of: i) visual problems will be presented; Ii) color blindness; Iii) Global Neuropsychological Development and IV) Iran Syndrome. The Chi-Cuadrada Test of MC Nemark will be used to determine in the child with themselves, the effects of color acetates in the fluidity and reading comprehension after the application of the reading tests.
