Accidental torsion effects on the inelastic analysis of structures

  • Flores Solano, Francisco Xavier (Director)

Project: Research

Project Details

Description

The project consists of analyzing designed structures using the United States Code7-10. Two types of structures will be designed: considering accidental torsion and without considering it. The buildings will have different configurations to study the effect of the different classifications of torsional irregularities given by the As as as. A total of 6 9 -story buildings with seismoresistant system made up of "Buckling Restrained BRACES (BRB´S) will be studied. Static and dynamic inelastic analysis will be executed considering the possible inelasticities in beams, columns and brackets (BRB's). The program to be used in this study is one of the most used at the time in the seismic area.
