Description
The planning of environmental management strategies in the Ecuadorian Andes requires knowing how it affects the change in plant coverage and use of the Earth (CVUT) to the organic matter of the soil (MOS), because the quantity and quality of this plays a fundamental role in the ecophisiological processes. Therefore, the effect of the CVUT on the organic carbon of the soil (COS), the labile organic carbon and the biological activity of the soil will be evaluated, in different edaphic scenarios. For this, in 5 areas of different geology and disturbance degrees, at 2300 and 3300 meters above sea level, under 7 types of plant cover, we will take soil samples with 5 repetitions each, 15 cm deep. The results of this research will understand how CVUT changes have affected MOS stores; In addition, the evaluation of the Lable compartments of the MOS, under the different types of CVUT in the different edaphic scenarios will predict the behavior of the long -term COS.
