Description
The research will be carried out at the Granja de Irquis, from the University of Cuenca, located in Victoria Portete, Cantón Cuenca, Azuay province. The removal of the Spicules of the Glande is a technique that requires being proven since in some rural sectors it has been carried out frequently as an alternative to the conventional forms of reproductive sterilization in males without existing to date studies that confirm or reject its effectiveness that allow to recommend or not against the needs within the productive management of the CUY in relation to the aggressiveness of males and dangers of animal mortality. The objective aims to evaluate the effect of glande spicle removal, as a technique of reproductive sterilization and/or its influence on aggressiveness, weight, fertility and prolificity of guinea pigs; 60 male guinea pigs and 60 females divided into two different stages will be used, the first that will relate the removal of spicules to aggressiveness and weight and the second that will relate to fertility and prolificity. For the analysis of the information, an anava analysis will be applied as a method of univariant analysis and a hand as a multivariate method, with a level of significance of 5%.
