Description
Despite the existence of international agreements that seek to protect the rights of the LGB population in the educational system, the situation remains worrying. In the case of Ecuador, discrimination and violence towards children and adolescents have been reported in the educational system. Estudios Previos Refieren A Bullying Homofóbico En El Contexto Escolar, Sin Embargo, No Se Aborda La Inclusión De Temas Y Estudiantes Lgb En La Escuela. Despite this, it has been recognized that school is a key space to develop attitudes of respect or prejudices towards the LGB population. In this scenario, teachers have a strategic role in the management of violence to children and LGB adolescents. It should be noted that, in the Ecuadorian context, there are no scientific research in this regard. This project will study the prospects of teachers in training and in service of Azuay and Cañar about sexual diversities (LGB). The design is mixed sequential. The first quantitative phase will be with teachers in service and in training. This study is transverse and correlational. In this phase the questionnaire will be used to determine knowledge and attitudes about sexual orientation and sexual behaviors of LGB youth. The second qualitative phase will work the experiences and needs of teachers in service who have reported having LGB students in the first phase. The qualitative design is phenomenological and the technique used is the semi -structured interview. The study will generate current and contextualized information regarding the inclusion of these population groups in educational spaces. The results will be published in scientific journals.
