Project Details
Description
The Water and Soil Management Program (PROMAS), for 20 years, monitoring different areas of the paute basin and as a product of this monitoring has around 130 hydrometeorological stations. The main objective of this project is to analyze, design and implement a prototype of a SWE network (enablement web sensor) that by using an ontologies -based approach and enriched with semantic metadata, will allow exposing the information of each of these sensors (stations) with the objective of knowing exactly the information generated by a particular sensor and under what conditions. Additionally, with the creation of this network, the technical personnel of the program or the university can access in a simple and detailed way to all the information that is being generated. The aforementioned information can also be used online as an entry for the implementation of early alert systems with the aim of predicting and perhaps avoid natural disasters.
