Description
Uterine cervical cancer constitutes the most common of neoplasms in fertile women, the HPV being the most important cause. In indigenous populations, due to their sociocultural differences, we are likely to find a higher prevalence of HPV and associated factors. With the research we intend to determine the prevalence of HPV and its associated factors, in the women of the Kychwa and Shuar peoples with active sexual life, and based on the results, propose a proposal for the promotion of sexual and reproductive health and prevention, from the sociocultural perspective. An ethnographic study will be carried out to interpret the meanings that support interactions in the sexual and reproductive field; And a transverse study to analyze the prevalence of HPV, Chlamydia, N. Gonorrhoeae, Trichomona vaginalis, Mycoplasma, Ureaplasma and the associated factors. For the laboratory diagnosis, the polymerase chain reaction technique will be used in real time. The calculation of the probability of association between the independent and dependent variables will be carried out through multivariable logistics regression.
