Description

This project is a descriptive study with the main objective of carrying out the local epidemiological diagnosis and establishing health priorities in Azuay that support the solution of the province's problems. The epidemiological diagnosis will produce knowledge about epidemiological profiles of health, disease and death and priorities of the province, health areas and cantons through bibliographic review on determinants and morbidity and mortality profiles, visits to health services, file review, information collection, meetings with health personnel, consultations to experts from health areas, application of specific surveys in the cantons Azuayos, workshops and surveys in services and in the community, epidemiological analysis of information, systematization of information, selection and systematization of health priorities, written communication and dissemination in health and community institutions. The study expects to achieve: social, cultural determinants, of consumption of goods and services, environmental and biological health and health and death profiles. Disability, organic wear, poisoning, mental health, health priorities, local epidemiological diagnosis methodology and priority establishment and an elaborated document, published and disseminated in health institutions.
