Description

At present, obesity and overweight is being one of the most lacerating problems in the world and therefore in our country, consider that this situation is evidenced in the population, more and more, in the child population. This can be corroborated by the studies carried out by WHO in 2012 for Ecuador, who points out that high levels of sedentary lifestyle that have caused more than 50% of the population present and obesity, this indicator of 6.5% in children under 5 years of age. The University of Cuenca, concerned about this social problem, is determined to contribute to the solution of society's problems, so, through the Physical Culture career aims to carry out a study on the development of basic motor skills in the child population of 1-5 years, whose information will allow in a second phase to prepare proposals that contribute to reduce this situation and promote from early ages the practice of physical activity. In addition, considering that this type of research study has not been carried out in our environment and in the country, which will contribute significantly in the improvement of the quality of life of the child population.
