Description

The objective of this project is to determine the level of research development at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the University of Cuenca as the baseline for the identification of intervention indicators. Methodology: a qualitative study will be carried out. All professors of the Faculty of Medical Sciences will be included. Self -administered surveys will be applied to obtain data that allow identifying the status of the lines and research groups that are developed in the Faculty of Medical Sciences, determine scientific production. In addition, focal groups will be carried out to obtain information on the strengths, weaknesses, experiences, achievements of teachers in research, policies, incentives, limitations of the university and the government for the promotion of research. Expected results: determination of indicators that allow developing an intervention program to improve research in the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the University of Cuenca. Conclusions: A baseline with information on the level of development of research at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the University of Cuenca is obtained and indicators are identified for an intervention project.
