Project Details

Description

The project has the purpose of developing two high -added products with agribusiness relevance and commercial importance, through the use of raw materials of Amazon or regional origin. The first of them, for cosmetic-medical (cosmecéutic) purposes, will be formulated as emulsified base cream for topical use, from fixed Amazonian oils extracted by pressed from non-food seeds such as: Oenocarpus Bataua Mart. (Ungurahua), Mauritia Flexuosa L.F. (MORETE), APHANDRA NATALIA BALSLEV & A.J.HEND. (Amazon Tagua) or Fevillea Cordifolia L. (Atamuyo), rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids and with the incorporation, both in the discontinuous phase and continuous of the emulsion, of essential oils, extracted by distillation with steam drag, which, in addition to providing attractive organoleptics in terms of aromas, will contribute to the antioxidant activity and Product conservation (for its demonstrated antimicrobial properties), given by the terpenes present in them, such is the case of: Ocotea Quixos (Lam.) Kosterm. (Ishpingo), cymbopogog citratus (dc.) Stapf. (Luisa grass) or Zingiber Officinale Roscoe (ginger), combined properly, taking into account sensory and possible synergies in the biological activities described. Creams will be developed in a simple laboratory emulsive machine.
