Project Details

Description

The acquisition of reading and management of emotional intelligence favors academic growth and enables better intrapersonal conditions and interpersonal relationships. Developing reading skills and promoting the ability to know, understand and manage emotions is a commitment that educational institutions must assume and maintain as one of their academic priorities. Three previous research by the University of Cuenca have allowed to demonstrate several reading problems in primary education. Likewise, research has been carried out at a higher level on emotional intelligence, but its study is priority at a school level, since this construct is considered a protective factor of mental health, very necessary aspect due to changes in lifestyles that have marked the pandemic worldwide. This research project has as its main objective to contribute to improving the development of reading skills and emotional intelligence in educational institutions through hybrid participation. It also searches in a collateral way to give academic and emotional support to both teaching staff, families and university students participating in the project. As a relevant product of this project, the educational community and strategies validated for effective intervention for the improvement in emotional reading and intelligence will be provided to the educational community.
