Project Details

Description

This project seeks to analyze and determine the behavior of social ventures regarding their financial decision making, studying two periods of time: a first scenario before the Pandemic declaration (before March 2020) and a second scenario after the pandemic (from January 2022). The scope of the project corresponds to social ventures in the Cuenca canton. The project presents four execution phases, starting with a diagnosis of the periods analyzed. Once this input is validated, an analysis of the evolution or behavioral change of the people and the determinants that influence this aspect will be carried out, differences will also be established due to demographic variables such as: age, gender, economic activity, among others that may be explanatory. The third phase will pretend to model the results for a scientific explanation; And, finally the results will be reflected in both academic and scientific socialization products. In this last phase, an approach to improvement proposals will be made to strengthen those aspects that are identified limit success in the financial decision making of social entrepreneurs. In this way, it is intended to answer the research question on, what is the relationship between behavioral biases, financial decision making and the sustainability of social ventures in the province of Azuay?; In addition, it is intended to contribute with issues of education and financial inclusion with the objective of strengthening the finances of social entrepreneurs through knowledge transfer, recommendations and suggestions on how they should adopt this type of decisions, attaching them to the concept of rationality. On the other hand, the results of the project will also be communicated scientifically through articles and presentations in congresses and with training to social entrepreneurs involved
