Project Details
Description
Given the pandemic caused by COVID-19, the economic crisis in Ecuador has been aggravated, evidencing an economic decrease of 7.8% of GDP. The Ministry of Production, Foreign Trade, Investments and Fisheries (MCPCEIP) points out that the pandemic affected small producers' organizations since it produced human losses, decreases in production and transport delays. In order to mitigate the negative effects of the context, strategies and actions are required that allow enhancing the income -generating role of MSMEs and associations, supporting them and generating tools to increase their productivity, add value, have access to green technology and sustainably access European markets. The general objective of CREA is to contribute to the economic reactivation of Ecuador through the improvement of competitiveness and insertion in the European Union of MSMEs and producing associations, with an approach to innovation, sustainability and inclusion.
