Description
This project aims to become a research seed for the development of intelligent electrical networks (Smart Grids) in Ecuador. It consists in developing mathematical tools and models that allow the implementation of the active control of an electric micro-re-formed by generation through unconventional energies and residential demand. It is proposed to model and simulate the dynamic consumption of electrical energy in homes and formulate the optimization algorithms necessary to control the generation, storage and demand. This research will apply process control through the network and optimization techniques such as games theory. There are many technical, economic, environmental and social benefits that emerge from this project: the integration of small generation plants located geographically close to the final load or consumer, reducing transport losses and increasing the efficiency of the electrical power system. Through the automation of processes such as the energy measurement consumed, detection of failures in the demand distribution and management system, greater efficiency in operation and maintenance will be obtained, which means a benefit for the consumer in terms of quality of electricity service and energy saving. Due to the optimal management of demand and generation offered by an automated electric micro-re-reduce, economic revenues for the country become evident, therefore, their research and development become priority. The University of Cuenca will become a direct beneficiary, therefore, from this project some research issues can be derived, and also the publication of articles in indexed international magazines. For the execution of the project, 30 months are estimated, and the total budget and the financing applied to the DIUC is $ 19,074.00.
