The project aims to point out techniques and practices applied internationally, and in a special way those exhibited in the "II Andean Workshop for specialists and administrators of registered sites or not in the World Heritage List and the southern inauguration of the UNESCO chair on preventive conservation, maintenance and monitoring of predominate monuments and sites", related to the preventive conservation (maintenance and monitoring) of the property property, Give an answer in terms of general guidelines for the management of preventive conservation in heritage, as a tool for appropriate work for the case of Cuenca. This will allow contributing to overcome the lack of knowledge or underestimation of the damage prevention actions for the conservation of real estate, as well as to leave identified lines of research in this field, of sum present. This will improve the preservation of real estate assets, reducing healing actions and paying special attention to preventive. The methodology to be applied will resort to the appeal of the bibliographic research of the preventive conservation issue, including the systematization of information generated by the VLIR -IUC project: management and preservation of the world heritage city, papers of the Andean workshop - preomes, documentation related to the art state in Cuenca, national and local legislation. On the other hand, with a quantitative approach through field investigation, the application of surveys (sampling) will be carried out to owners of property property of the Historic Center of Cuenca, in order to determine the possible applicability of monitoring systems. As results of the project, in terms of publications / documents, it must be cited: - Memories of the Andean Workshop - Precomos, referring to preventive conservation. - Article on preventive conservation, based on the memoirs of the Andean workshop - preomes. - Identification of the art of art in the field of preventive conservation in Cuenca, and guidelines applicable to the Cuenca case. - Identification of lines of research that promotes preventive conservation. In turn, the transfer of knowledge and research carried out to society sectors through seminars and/or workshops is expected.
