Description
Background: Nursing professionals comply with various roles, such as: research, teaching, assistance, services administration, among others. In the hospitable field they must meet night working hours and work on holidays; This adds to being a mostly female staff in whom extra -labor tasks fall such as home care. This entails, a work overload that directly affects the quality of life and health of this population. OBJECTIVE: Determine the health and quality of life of the professional nursing personnel in the area No. 6. Methods: Quantitative study of transverse analytical design, the sample will be not probabilistic, due to convenience and will be the professional staff of nursing concentrated in the general public hospitals of the provincial capitals being the size of 283, the technique of the structured interview will be applied, the instruments will be a sociodemographic record, labor and health conditions. WHOQOL-BREF INSTRUMENT TO MEASURE THE QUALITY OF LIFE. The results will be presented through distribution graphs, frequency/percentages, contingency tables and association coefficients of variables. Expected results: Determination of a diagnostic line with the variables studied, which will serve as a reference for future intervention research or approach to occupational health policies of this important population group.
