Description

Title: Community, Family and Communication and Information Technologies (ICT) linked to the prevention of HIV/AIDS in the Shuar community of the Morona Canton 2018. Introduction: The indigenous population is identified as a high -risk vulnerable group to contract HIV/AIDS, among the influential factors the culture, family and access to information stand out. Medicine has advanced significantly in HIV/AIDS prevention, however, indigenous populations continue to have limited access to information and implementation of preventive actions. Access to information through ICT, communication with the community and family can be practices that help reduce the prevalence and incidence in this population, since there is a lot of particular interest with community interaction, the use of the Internet and social networks. Objective: Identify the influence of the community, family and communication technologies and information on sexual behaviors related to HIV prevention in the Shuar community of the Morona canton. Methodology: phenomenological qualitative study whose sample will be for convenience: 30 members of the Shuar community and health and education professionals. In -depth interviews and focal groups will be conducted; The data will be recorded, transcribed and processed in the Atlas TI software; To triangular and validate the information, the opinion of experts will be sought. Expected results: A baseline for interventions Two scientific articles published in indexed magazines A training workshop four undergraduate thesis partial and final reports
