Description

The quality of the residential building and on the performance it has, in a series of attributes associated with sustainability, influences the quality of life of people; For this reason, the present proposal, after an observation and analysis of a series of specific performance of the house and its parts, seeks to qualify the quality of the project and certify the future performance of the house, based on the priorities that the town has where it will be applied. The project will evaluate the benefits that the housing will provide within the environmental, social and economic dimensions, through an appropriate sustainability guarantee method for the city of Cuenca - Ecuador, which was developed in the project and is called "Sustainable and Safe Building Certification of the University of Cuenca" (CeSSUC). The contribution of this project is based on the regionalization of housing certification to promote the application of more sustainable practices in the construction sector in the city and also as a source of knowledge and awareness for construction actors, including customers, building users, promoters and authorities in the area. In addition, that the evaluation scheme that is made can serve as a basis for future regional methods and adaptations in the field of sustainable housing evaluation.
