Project Details

Description

The research work will be carried out at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of the University of Cuenca, Carreras of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics and Agronomic Engineering. The Ecuadorian University in recent years is immersed in a process of continuous improvement of quality based on the construction of the new Constitution of the Republic that resulted in the issuance of mandate 14 whose fundamental purpose is the process of evaluation of universities. In that context, CEAACES generates a generic model of self -assessment of university careers containing indicators of different kinds among them those related to the quality of professional training processes. In the aforementioned perspective, each of the careers to enter a continuous improvement process has the need to take actions that allow it to determine and clearly diagnose the current situation in such a way that they are the support for administrative academic decision making to overcome existing shortcomings or maintain those that are successful. The present research is characterized by students of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of the University of Cuenca, determining the rates of dropout, graduation and repetition in the first five semiannual periods and finding relations between the academic performance of the students and some individual, social and institutional factors; For the purpose, documentary and field research will be carried out through the application of surveys to the population under study as a source of information to be processed and analyzed statistically.
