From the changes faced by the structure and organization of the Cuenca family in terms of children's breeding practices, the family research team of the Faculty of Psychology considers it necessary to analyze the relationships between the measures of: support, types of psychological control, expectation of achieving fathers and mothers, and their consequences with the psychological and social adjustment; Specifically in the development of autonomy, self -concept and self -regulation of learning of adolescents who attend the fiscal and individual educational institutions of Cuenca. In response to the objective, the approach will be quantitative with a correlational design that will identify the control variables parental support and achievement expectations associated with the social psychological adjustment of adolescents. To do this, the bivariate analysis (independence test, comparison of means, correlation) and multivariate (regression models) will be used. The research will contribute to deepen the parental practices of control and support for the promotion of autonomy, self -concept and self -regulation of learning in adolescents and guide processes of change towards a positive parentality, in this way the greatest beneficiaries of this research will be teenagers Cuenca with a positive and responsible development.
