Description

This project proposal is about the analysis and definition of strategic and scenarios for the development of a successful implementation model of business resources planning systems (ERP, for its acronym in English, Enterprise Resource Planning) in small and medium -sized companies (SMEs) of Austro. An ERP provides an organization of an integration tool for primary business processes to maintain an improvement in the company's competitive position. However, in many cases, these systems do not guarantee this competitive advantage; For example, three quarters of the cases of implementation of an ERP were not successful, 90% do not meet the schedules which makes this implementation present a high risk for the company. SMEs have not presented significant growth in recent years; Mainly due to technological deficiencies (for example, an ERP use), it is also known that only 14% of SMEs investigate and innovate in their processes, including technological processes, this due to the limitation of: resources, technological infrastructure or by external factors. It is known that there are several factors that influence the successful implementation of an ERP in large companies, but very little is known about these factors in SMEs; Within the study, the implementation factors have been classified in three categories: technological, organizational and external factors. The study will be qualitative having the intervention of companies as casuistic studies focused on small and medium enterprises in the Austro area. For this, the analysis of the results of the implementations of an ERP in the middle is important.
