Project Details

Description

Upon entering the LOES (2010) and the Regulation of the SNNA (2012), a procedure for admission and leveling in the Ecuadorian Higher Education System is established, the results of the leveling implementation have not been studied until now. This project aims to characterize the student admitted in the leveling of the University of Cuenca, determine the impact of the implementation of the student leveling process, find out the reasons for the high index of reprobation and dropout in some careers. Based on the analysis of these results, a strategy will be proposed that allows the student to support during the leveling cycle, can achieve a better performance and thus raise the levels of leveling cycle approval at the University of Cuenca. Some cases of students at risk will be identified and the support strategy will be applied to avoid loss or dropout.
