Description
The new curriculum proposed by the Ministry of Education raises the use of technologies in all areas of study, for mathematics in particular explicitly manifests on the ability that students must have to develop models and solve problems with the support of technology. In this context, this project seeks to verify the following hypothesis: there is no adequate incorporation of ICTs in the Basic General Education Centers and Unified General Baccalaureate. For this, a diagnosis will be made on the use of ICTs in the educational institutions of EGB and Baccalaureate of the Cuenca canton, through a stratified sampling of proportional selection, and the level of teacher training in the use and management of these resources will be analyzed. On the other hand, it is intended to train teachers in the area of mathematics in the use and management of these technologies, for this phase of the project we will work with self -management of the institutions. In this phase a course - workshop distributed in four moments with a different duration of each other is proposed. Each workshop will have two sessions in which the time needed to meet the following goals will be allocated: - Differentiate characteristics and uses of synchronous and asynchronous exchange environments, recognizing their potentialities. - Strategies for the search, analysis, selection, adaptation and elaboration of digital materials, through the use of specific programs. - Conceptualize and develop teaching strategies that progressively integrate new technologies as tools for classroom practices. The conclusions reached by this research will be disseminated through an article that will pretend to be published and socialized, both with educational institutions and with education authorities.
