Description
Due to climate change and the reduction of oil reserves, the introduction of electric vehicles to the market has become a viable and necessary option to mitigate the impact of the transport sector on the environment and to promote a more efficient car park. However, the incorporation of electric vehicles into cities brings challenges in the levels of technical, incentive regulation and government policies, change in cities mobility, integration with electrical energy distribution networks, new schemes in the electricity market and adoption by users. This research project allows to determine the requirements that guarantee the optimal integration of electric vehicles with the electrical energy distribution networks and the urban mobility of the city of Cuenca - Ecuador. As well as the requirements of technical regulations and incentives that allow massive introduction and optimal use of electric vehicles in the city of Cuenca - Ecuador are defined.
