Research interests
Researcher at the University of Cuenca and a Latin American reference in ruminant nutrition. He holds a PhD in Ruminant Nutrition from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. His scientific career focuses on nutrient synchronization, nitrogen metabolism, and rumen microbiology applied to feed efficiency and sustainability. His work has contributed to understanding and controlling protein degradation in the rumen, with the aim of improving nitrogen utilization efficiency and reducing pollutant emissions.
He is currently leading studies on the nutritional evaluation of agro-industrial by-products as sustainable alternatives to conventional feed ingredients in both dairy and beef ruminants.
He has developed technological applications for calculating nutritional requirements in both productive and companion animal species, and actively participates in I+D+i projects aimed at building more efficient, ethical, and resilient food systems.
